FAQ: Nory, permissions and data

Updated on 18 June 2026

Clear answers to questions about what Nory sees, what it can do, and how it protects your data.

Your finances are sensitive, and it's normal to want to know what Nory sees and can do. Here are the answers to the most common questions about its permissions and respect for your data.

What can Nory see?

Nory checks your situation as it appears in the app: your accounts, transactions and their categories, your budgets, your goals, and depending on your plan, your Score or your assets. Reading is enabled by default so it can respond to you, and you can adjust it domain by domain.

Can Nory modify my data?

Only if you authorize it. Writing is disabled by default. Once enabled for a domain, Nory can suggest an action, which it only executes after your confirmation. Sensitive actions require double confirmation.

Can Nory trigger a payment or transfer?

No, never. The connection to your banks is read-only. Nory can analyze your transactions, but no action can move your money from the app, neither its own nor yours.

What does Nory's memory retain?

Nory keeps some context elements to stay relevant, such as an expressed preference. This memory is limited, and you can view or erase it at any time from its settings.

Is my data sold?

No. Your data is encrypted, hosted in Europe, and never sold or used for advertising purposes. You retain your rights to access, export, and delete.

How can I remove a permission from Nory?

Go to Nory's permissions and disable writing (or reading) for the relevant domain. The change is immediate. You can also erase its memory right after if you wish.

Does Nory replace an advisor?

No. Nory helps you understand and organize your finances, but it does not replace an advisor and does not provide regulated advice. For a binding decision, also rely on a professional.
