The limits of Nory
Updated on 18 June 2026
Nory is a valuable assistant, but it has acknowledged limitations. Here’s what it doesn’t do, why, and how to make the most of it despite this.
Nory saves you time and helps you see things clearly, but it has intentional limitations. Knowing them prevents unpleasant surprises and helps you set realistic expectations. Good news: most of these limits exist for your security.
Nory does not replace an advisor
Nory helps you understand your expenses, identify room for maneuver, and structure your goals. However, it does not provide regulated financial advice and does not replace a professional (bank advisor, chartered accountant, notary). For an important decision, consider its answers as an informed starting point, not as official advice.
Nory never acts on your money
The connection to your banks is read-only. Nory can read your transactions to analyze them, but it cannot initiate any transfers, direct debits, or payments. No one can move your money from the app, neither you nor Nory.
Its analyses are estimates
The projections, ranges, and scenarios Nory presents are based on your past data and assumptions. These are estimates designed to give you an idea of scale, not guaranteed predictions. Reality may differ.
What depends on your data
Nory reasons based on what it sees. If a bank isn’t connected, if transactions are miscategorized, or if a cash expense hasn’t been added, its responses will reflect these gaps. Keeping your data up to date makes Nory significantly more relevant.
A volume of exchanges based on your plan
Nory’s usage is generous, with a monthly volume that depends on your plan. The most comprehensive features are available from paid plans. If you reach a limit, it resets at the next cycle, or you can upgrade your plan from the Subscription screen in the app.
