Scan a document on iPhone
Updated on 18 June 2026
Scan a paper directly from your iPhone or iPad and file it in your vault in seconds.
On iPhone and iPad, you do not need a scanner or a photo taken separately. Noryo includes document scanning: you capture your paper, the app straightens it and files it in your vault. Here is how to do it in seconds.
Open your vault
From the app, go to the documents area.
Start the scan
Choose to add by scan. The camera opens to aim at your document.
Frame the document
Place the paper on a contrasting, well-lit surface. Let the app detect the edges, then confirm the capture.
Add the following pages
For a multi-page document, take captures one after another before finishing.
Check and name
Check legibility, give the document a clear name, and choose the destination folder.
Enter an expiration date if useful
For an ID document or a certificate, add the end date to take advantage of the validity badges.
Save
The document joins your vault, encrypted, and becomes searchable by its content on all your devices.
What next?
Your scanned document behaves like any other document in the vault: you can share it in read-only mode, link it to a transaction, or find it through its content search. If you sometimes prefer to send a document by email, the vault also has a personal deposit address.
