Setting up the succession vault

Updated on 18 June 2026

Designate trusted contacts who will be able to access a view of your situation in the event of prolonged inactivity.

The succession vault lets you designate trusted contacts who will be able to access, in read-only mode, your most important documents if you stop using Noryo for a long period. It is a calm way to prepare for the future: your loved ones are never left without a reference point, and you keep control at every moment. This page details how it works, how to set it up and the safeguards in place.

The principle in a few words

You choose one or more trusted people and an inactivity threshold (for example, several months without signing in). As long as you use Noryo normally, nothing happens: each sign-in resets the counter. If the inactivity exceeds the chosen threshold, and after several warnings, your designated contacts receive read-only access to the documents you have set aside for them.

When access is triggered

If the inactivity exceeds the threshold you set, and only after the warnings, your trusted contacts receive an invitation to view the documents set aside. Their access stays strictly read-only: they can see, never change or delete.

The safeguards

The succession vault is designed never to be triggered by mistake. Several protections are in place so you always have the final say.

  • Each sign-in to Noryo resets the inactivity counter
  • Several warnings are sent to you before anything is triggered
  • You can change the contacts or the threshold whenever you wish
  • You can fully revoke the mechanism at any time
  • The access granted stays strictly read-only
