Bank consent (PSD2)

Updated on 18 June 2026

What the authorization you give to your bank is, why it expires, and how to renew or revoke it.

When you link a bank to Noryo, you give a consent: the explicit authorization to share a copy of your banking data. This authorization is at the heart of open banking security. This article explains exactly what it covers, how long it lasts, how to renew it, and how to revoke it whenever you wish.

What is consent

Consent is the agreement you give to your bank to transmit your account information to Noryo. It falls under open banking, governed by the European PSD2 regulation. Without this consent, no data is shared. You decide, and you can change your mind at any time.

What consent authorizes, and what it does not authorize

Consent is strictly limited to consultation. It provides read-only access: Noryo can view, never act.

Why consent expires

For your security, an open banking consent has a limited validity period. After a certain time, it expires, and synchronization stops until you renew it. This is a protection required by regulation: it ensures no access remains open indefinitely without your confirmation.

Renewing an expired consent

Renewing is simple and quick: just reconnect the relevant bank. Noryo redirects you to your bank's interface where you validate access again. Synchronization then resumes normally, without losing your history.

  1. Open your banks screen

Spot the bank whose consent has expired, it is flagged.

  2. Start the reconnection

Noryo sends you to your bank's official interface.

  3. Validate the new access

Confirm the sharing of your data as on the first connection.

Revoking your consent

You remain in control at all times. You can revoke your consent in two ways: by disconnecting the bank from Noryo or by revoking access directly from your banking space. In both cases, data sharing stops.
