Understanding balances and pending transactions
Updated on 18 June 2026
Why the balance displayed by Noryo may differ from your bank's, what a pending transaction is, and how to read each figure calmly.
It happens that the balance displayed in Noryo does not exactly match, at any given moment, the one visible on your banking app. In the vast majority of cases, this is not an error: it reflects transactions that have not yet been definitively recorded by your bank. This page helps you read each figure and understand where these temporary discrepancies come from.
The different balances
Your bank actually handles several balance concepts. Understanding them clears up most of the confusion.
What is a pending transaction
When you pay by card, the merchant first requests an authorization from your bank. The amount is then reserved, but the transaction is only confirmed later, sometimes one to several days after. Between these two moments, the transaction is said to be pending. It already affects your available balance but does not yet appear as a definitive transaction.
Why Noryo may display a discrepancy
Noryo displays the information as transmitted by your bank, at the synchronization pace. A temporary discrepancy is almost always explained by one of these reasons.
- Pending transactions not yet confirmed by the bank.
- A transaction made just before the last sync and not yet brought through.
- A gap between the book balance and the available balance shown by your bank.
What to do in case of a persistent discrepancy
If the discrepancy does not resolve after a day, here are useful checks before worrying.
In any case, Noryo never invents a figure: everything comes from your bank. If a transaction seems truly missing, the dedicated article guides you step by step.
