Manage your hidden accounts

An account you would rather not see does not have to leave your bank: it only has to leave Noryo. Hiding it removes it from your list and from your totals, without deleting anything and without cutting off its sync.

What hiding changes

• <strong>It leaves your list and your totals</strong>: the account disappears from My accounts and its balance no longer counts towards the displayed total.
• <strong>It keeps syncing</strong>: the connection to your bank stays active and its history keeps filling up.
• <strong>It becomes invisible to your household</strong>: neither the account nor its transactions, even if you share the bank.
• <strong>The server is what enforces it</strong>: the database refuses to return the account, and refuses to let a shortcut make it visible again. Even a bank resync does not bring it back.

The gesture, both ways

1. Hide

   From My accounts, press and hold the account, then Hide.

2. Choose the mode

   Hide from Home files the account in a protected section. Make it secret goes further: it appears nowhere at all.

3. Come back

   Open Hidden accounts, from My accounts or from Profile then Security then Hidden. Face ID or Touch ID is asked for, and your Noryo Code when biometrics are unavailable. Once the session is open, it is not asked again on every trip back and forth.

4. Show it again

   The account takes its place back in the list and in the totals, with its full history. Nothing was ever deleted.

The secret phrase

To see a secret account again, type your phrase in the search bar: the server checks it and shows you the matching accounts, for as long as you look at them. Their state does not change, they stay secret. The phrase is unique to your Noryo account, sixteen characters at most, stored as a fingerprint and never in the clear. Replacing it requires the current one.

• <strong>Phrase forgotten: twenty-four hours</strong>: from the phrase screen, the request makes your secret accounts visible after a day, never straight away.
• <strong>Your phrase is erased</strong>: when the delay runs out, it is reset and you choose a new one.
• <strong>An email goes out as soon as you ask</strong>: someone getting hold of your unlocked phone could reveal nothing on the spot, and you would have a day to react.
