FAQ: household invitations and roles

Updated on 19 June 2026

Quick answers to questions about inviting members and the Owner, Adult, and Junior roles.

Here are the answers to the most common questions about household invitations and member roles. The multi-member Household is part of the Ultra plan; plan details appear on the Subscription screen in the app.

Who can invite members to the household?

The household owner sends the invitations. A household can include up to four people: the owner and three other members.

How does an invitation work?

Invitations are sent by email. The person receives a message inviting them to join the household; once they accept, they appear among the members with the role you assigned them.

What are the Owner, Adult, and Junior roles for?

Roles define what each member can see and do within the household.

 • Owner: manages the household composition (invitations, removals, dissolution).
 • Adult: takes full part in the household's shared view.
 • Junior: takes part within an adapted scope, designed for younger members.

Do other members see all my data?

No. Everyone keeps control of their own data and chooses what joins the shared view. Being part of a household never grants open access to your accounts.

Can a member's role be changed later?

Yes. The owner can adjust roles from the Household area, for example when a Junior grows up or a member's place in the household setup changes.

Can an invitation be canceled?

Yes. As long as an invitation has not been accepted, the owner can cancel it. Once the person is a member, they can leave the household on their own or be removed by the owner; in every case, their personal data stays intact.

What happens to a removed member?

A removed member loses access to the shared view but keeps all of their accounts, budgets, and documents. The owner can reinvite them later if needed.
