A question comes up often: how quickly do my transactions appear in Noryo? The good news is that you have almost nothing to do, the update is automatic. This article details the synchronization rhythm, what you can trigger yourself, and why a very recent transaction can sometimes take a little while to appear.

Automatic updates several times a day

Noryo automatically retrieves your accounts <strong>several times a day</strong>. You don’t need to take any action: your balances and transactions refresh in the background. When you open the app, you see the most recent state that Noryo has available.

Manual synchronization when you want it

If you’ve just made a significant purchase and want to see it right away, you can initiate a <strong>manual synchronization</strong> from your accounts screen. Noryo will then check your bank immediately. On iPhone, you can track the progress of the ongoing sync directly from the screen.

The first synchronization takes longer

Right after linking a new bank, the very first retrieval takes a little longer than subsequent ones. This is normal: Noryo is importing your transaction history, which involves more data than a simple daily update. Once this initial process is complete, future syncs are much faster.

Why freshness depends on your bank

Each bank makes its information available at its own pace. Some publish transactions very quickly, while others do so with a slight delay. A transaction may also remain <strong>pending</strong> on the bank’s side before being finalized. In such cases, even a manual sync won’t make it appear faster if your bank hasn’t yet shared it.
