FAQ: Bank synchronization
Updated on 18 June 2026
Frequently asked questions about account updates, balances, and bank consent.
Bank synchronization is at the heart of Noryo. Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about it. Good news: most situations are resolved in one to two minutes.
Why is my bank no longer updating?
The most common cause is the expiration of consent. For your security, the authorization granted to your bank has a limited duration. Simply reconnect the bank to renew it, then initiate a manual synchronization.
How often are my accounts updated?
Synchronization is automatic several times a day. You can also initiate a manual synchronization whenever you want the most up-to-date data. The actual frequency partly depends on each bank.
Why does my balance differ from that of my bank?
A discrepancy almost always comes from pending transactions, i.e., payments not yet definitively validated by the bank. The balance adjusts automatically once these transactions are confirmed. Also consider cash expenses, which you can add manually.
Is the first synchronization very long, is this normal?
Yes. The first update retrieves a broader history, so it naturally takes a little longer than subsequent ones. Let it complete without closing the application.
Can I connect a joint or business account?
Yes, joint and business accounts are supported. When connecting, make sure to select all the accounts you wish to track so they appear correctly in Noryo.
How many banks can I connect?
The number of connected banks depends on your plan: one with the Free plan, two with Premium, five with Ultra. To connect more, explore higher plans from the Subscription screen in the app.
Can Noryo make transfers on my behalf?
No, never. Access to your accounts is read-only. Noryo reads your transactions to present them to you but cannot make any payments or transfers. Your bank credentials are also never entered into the application.
My accounts display multiple currencies, is this managed?
Yes. Noryo supports multiple currencies (euro, US dollar, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, yen) with automatic conversion for display, to maintain a coherent overview.
