Letting Nory create a budget or a goal

Updated on 18 June 2026

Nory can set up a budget or a savings goal for you, after your confirmation. Here is how to enable these guided actions and validate them with confidence.

Nory does not only give advice: it can take action and set up a budget or a savings goal for you. You always keep the final say, since every action waits for your confirmation. Here is how to make the most of it.

Before you start: allow writing

To create something for you, Nory needs write permission on the domain concerned (budgets or goals). Writing is disabled by default: enable it in Nory's permissions to let it act. You can disable it at any time.

Steps to let Nory create a budget

  1. Enable writing for budgets

In Nory's permissions, allow writing for the budgets domain.

  2. Phrase your request

For example: "create a reasonable outings budget for me given my spending".

  3. Check the proposal

Nory displays the suggested category and monthly cap. Adjust if needed before validating.

  4. Confirm

Validate: the budget appears right away in your Budgets section, with its progress bar.

Steps to let Nory create a goal

  1. Enable writing for goals

Allow writing for the savings goals domain.

  2. Describe your project

For example: "help me save for a trip this summer".

  3. Refine the details

Nory proposes a name, a target amount and a deadline. Edit them to fit your project.

  4. Confirm and track

Once validated, the goal appears with its progress and a target date simulator.
