Overview of common problems

Updated on 18 June 2026

An overview of the most common issues and the first thing to do for each, grouped by main family.

Most issues encountered in Noryo fall into a few main families, and each has a simple first step that already resolves most cases. This page helps you quickly identify your situation, then points you to the detailed instructions. Keep one golden rule in mind: if something seems stuck, close and reopen the app, and make sure you are using the latest available version. This simple habit clears up a large share of passing incidents.

The main families of problems

Identifying the family your issue belongs to is the fastest way to get to the right place. Here are the five families we see most often, with their typical symptoms.

Sign-in and access

If you cannot sign in, the most important point is to use the same method as at sign-up. An account created with Apple does not open with Google or a password, and the other way around. If you have forgotten your password, request a reset link by email. If you signed up with Apple or Google, there is no password to reset: simply go through the matching button.

Bank synchronisation

If a bank no longer updates, the most common cause is the expiry of the connection consent. For your security, the authorisation granted to your bank has a limited duration: just reconnect the bank to renew it. A balance difference most often comes from transactions still pending on the bank side, which will adjust on their own once cleared.

Amounts, balances and categories

An amount that looks wrong almost always has a simple explanation: a pending transaction, a payment in instalments, or a cash expense that you can add by hand. If a transaction is wrongly categorised, you can recategorise it and even create a rule so that all payments from this merchant are categorised automatically in future.

Emails and notifications

 • Email not received: check your spam or junk folder, and that your account address is correct.
 • iOS notifications missing: allow Noryo notifications in your iPhone settings, then check your notification preferences in the app.
 • Too many emails or not enough: each notification type is set independently, by channel.

App slow or frozen

A passing slowdown often comes from an unstable internet connection or a first synchronisation, which is naturally a little longer. If the app freezes or closes, fully close it, reopen it, and check that no update is pending.
