FAQ: Multi-currency accounts

Updated on 18 June 2026

Managed currencies, automatic conversion, display currency, and exchange rates: answers to questions about multi-currency accounts.

Do you have a foreign currency account or travel? Here are the answers to the most common questions about managing multiple currencies in Noryo.

Which currencies does Noryo support?

Noryo supports several major currencies: the euro, US dollar, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Japanese yen. Your accounts in these currencies are supported and displayed correctly.

How does conversion work?

When an account is in a different currency from your primary currency, Noryo automatically converts its amount for display, so you can reason in a single currency. Your overall analyses (net balance, expenses) take this conversion into account.

How do I change my display currency?

Your display currency is set in your profile preferences. This is the currency in which Noryo presents your totals and analyses.

Are exchange rates in real time?

Noryo uses up-to-date exchange rates for display conversion. Slight discrepancies from the exact rate of a bank transaction are normal: rates fluctuate constantly, and each bank applies its own conditions at the time of a transaction.

Why does a converted amount differ from my statement?

The amount displayed by Noryo is an indicative conversion at a recent rate, whereas your statement reflects the rate and fees applied by your bank at the precise moment of the transaction. These two amounts may therefore differ slightly, without it being an error.

What if my currency is not supported?

If an account is in an unsupported currency, its display conversion may not be available. The account and its transactions remain visible, but the conversion into your primary currency may be missing. New currencies may be added over time.
