Understanding error messages
Updated on 18 June 2026
What the main messages Noryo may show actually mean, and the right thing to do for each.
A message that appears is not always bad news. Most of the time, it simply points to an action on your side, like renewing an authorisation or waiting a few moments. This page decodes the most common messages and tells you, for each one, what to do without stress.
Messages related to your bank connection
These are the most frequent, and almost always harmless. They concern the authorisation you granted your bank to share your information in read-only mode.
Messages related to your account and session
To protect your account, Noryo may ask you to sign in again or confirm your identity. These messages are a good thing: they mean security is doing its job.
- Session expired: sign in again with your usual sign-up method (Apple, Google or email).
- Credentials not recognised: check that you are using the method you chose when creating your account.
- Sensitive action to confirm: some important operations require an extra confirmation, sometimes through a code received by email.
Messages related to documents
The vault accepts images (JPG, PNG, HEIC) and PDF files, up to a size limit per file. If an upload fails, the message usually points to the cause.
Information messages not to mistake for an error
Some messages look like errors but are in fact simply information. For example, a difference between your displayed balance and your bank's almost always comes from pending transactions not yet cleared. Likewise, a feature reserved for a higher plan is not a fault: it simply invites you to discover the relevant plan from the Subscription screen.
