Reconnect a bank that is stuck

Updated on 18 June 2026

The step-by-step instructions to restart a bank that no longer synchronises.

When a bank no longer updates, the cause is almost always the expiry of the consent, the authorisation you gave your bank to share your information in read-only mode. For your security, this authorisation has a limited duration. Reconnecting it takes one to two minutes and resolves the vast majority of blockers.

  1. Open your bank accounts

Go to the connected banks section of the app.

  2. Find the bank involved

It often shows a reconnection required or expired consent message.

  3. Start the reconnection

Tap the reconnection option offered for that bank.

  4. Confirm on your bank's interface

You are redirected to your bank to confirm your agreement, securely.

  5. Confirm your consent

Accept the read-only sharing. No payment or transfer is ever authorised.

  6. Start a manual synchronisation

Back in Noryo, trigger an update to retrieve your recent data.

Once the bank is reconnected and synchronised, your transactions, balances and subscriptions update automatically several times a day. You can start a manual synchronisation at any time if you want the freshest data immediately.
