Noryo in 5 minutes

A quick overview to understand the essentials and start using Noryo today.

Updated 19 June 2026

Just arrived and want to get to the essentials? This article presents the main features of Noryo in just a few minutes. No need to master everything right away: follow the guide and explore at your own pace.

1. The dashboard, your starting point

When you open it, the dashboard gives you an overview of your situation at a glance: net balance, monthly expenses, savings, and active subscriptions. A period selector (7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 1 year) adjusts all the figures and graphs.

  1. Your key indicators

Net balance, spending, savings, and subscriptions, with their trend.

  2. Your charts

Cash flow and spending breakdown by category.

  3. Your latest items

Recent transactions, upcoming subscriptions, and recent documents.

2. Connecting a bank

To have everything fill in automatically, connect a bank account. The connection is made via open banking: you validate directly on your bank's interface, without ever entering your credentials in Noryo. Access is read-only, so no payments can be made.

The first sync

The first import may take a little longer than subsequent ones. After that, your accounts update automatically several times a day.

3. Your transactions and categories

Your transactions are imported and automatically categorized (housing, transport, food, etc.). You can recategorize a transaction, add a note, or create a rule so a merchant is always placed in the correct category in the future.

4. Subscriptions and budgets

Noryo detects your recurring subscriptions, alerts you to price increases, and spots duplicates paid across multiple banks. You can also set monthly budgets by category, with a progress bar and alerts as you approach the limit.

The first features to try
FeatureWhat it is for
SubscriptionsTrack your recurring payments and their increases
BudgetsStay within a cap by category
GoalsSet money aside for a project
Noryo ScoreTrack the overall health of your finances

5. Nory, your assistant

Have a question about your expenses? Ask Nory in natural language. It analyzes your finances, identifies potential savings, and can suggest actions, such as creating a budget, always subject to your confirmation. Nory does not replace an advisor and never accesses your banking transactions.

At your own pace

You don’t need to activate everything on the first day. Connect an account, check your dashboard, then explore budgets, goals, and documents whenever you like.

Quick questions

Do I need to connect a bank to use Noryo?

No. You can add manual expenses and explore the app without a connection, but the bank connection automates everything.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your data is encrypted, hosted in Europe, and access to banks stays read only.
