Understanding your dashboard
Net balance, monthly expenses, savings, subscriptions: deciphering the indicators and graphs on your dashboard.
The dashboard is the first page you see when you open Noryo. At a glance, it brings together the essentials of your finances: what you have left, what you have spent, what you are setting aside and what is about to be charged. This page explains each element and how to get the most out of it.
The four key indicators
At the top of the dashboard, four cards sum up your situation. Each shows a value and, in most cases, a trend that tells you whether you are heading in the right direction compared with the previous period.
What each card tells you
- Net balance
- The amount available across all your connected accounts, together with a trend showing recent changes.
- Spending this month
- The total of your outgoings since the start of the month, with the change versus the previous month to spot an unusual gap.
- Savings
- What you have managed to set aside, to follow your saving effort over time.
- Active subscriptions
- The number of recurring subscriptions detected, so you can keep an eye on your regular spending.
The charts
Below the indicators, two charts add depth to your figures. The cash flow compares your money coming in and going out month after month, which reveals whether you are living off your reserves or building them up. The spending breakdown splits your outgoings by category to show where your money really goes.
In the cash flow, money coming in and going out are shown differently. If outgoings regularly exceed income, that is the signal to adjust a budget.
The everyday lists
Further down, the dashboard keeps you up to date on recent activity without having to go looking.
- Recent transactions: your latest operations, to check at a glance that everything looks normal.
- Upcoming subscriptions: the next expected recurring charges, so you can anticipate.
- Recent documents: the latest files added to your vault.
Choosing the period shown
A period selector lets you change the window of time analysed. You can switch from a very recent view to an overview of the year, without leaving the dashboard.
| Period | Ideal for |
|---|---|
| 7 days | Checking the week's activity |
| 30 days | Following the current month |
| 3 months | Spotting an underlying trend |
| 1 year | Getting an overview and preparing a statement |
Web and iOS
On the web (app.noryo.fr), the dashboard opens from the sidebar and you can launch the global search with the command palette. On iPhone and iPad, it sits on the first tab; you find the same indicators, and widgets give you a preview without even opening the app.
⌘ + KOpens the command palette on the web to search for a transaction, an account or a page.
If the balance shown differs slightly from your bank's, these are usually operations still awaiting confirmation. The gap clears once the operations are confirmed.
