Set clear savings goals

Updated on 18 June 2026

Tips for setting realistic savings goals and using the simulator to estimate your target date.

A savings goal gives your money direction: a trip, a down payment, an emergency fund. Well-defined, it turns a vague intention into a concrete project you can see progressing. This page helps you set realistic goals and make the most of the simulator to know when you’ll reach them.

The ingredients of a goal

A savings goal consists of a few simple elements. The more precise they are, the more motivating and easy to track the goal becomes.

Set a realistic amount

A goal that’s too ambitious discourages, while one that’s too modest achieves little. The right amount takes into account what you can realistically set aside each month without unbalancing your budget. Review your cash flow to estimate your monthly savings capacity.

The target date simulator

The simulator estimates the date you’ll reach your goal based on your savings rate. If you set aside more each month, the date moves forward; if you slow down, it moves back. It’s a great way to find the right balance between ambition and comfort.

Funding your goal

Quick-add buttons let you increase your goal in seconds, for example when you decide to contribute a monthly surplus. The more regularly you fund it, the clearer and more motivating the progress becomes.

How many goals?

The number of goals you can track depends on your plan: one in Free, several in Premium, and unlimited in Ultra. See the details on the Subscription screen in the app. Focusing on a few goals is often more effective than spreading yourself too thin.
