Organize your documents and folders

Ready-to-use folders, custom folders, and validity badges: everything to keep your Noryo vault well-organized.

Updated 19 June 2026

Filing your documents well means being able to lay your hands on the right paper in seconds, the day you need it. Noryo's vault offers you ready-to-use organization and lets you adapt it your way, with visual markers so nothing slips past its expiration.

The ready-to-use folders

From the moment you arrive, the vault contains folders already named for the most common uses. You can use them as they are, which is often the fastest way to get started.

  • Identity: ID card, passport, license
  • Invoices and Contracts
  • Taxes and Insurance
  • Payslips and Bank statements
  • Other, for everything else
Start simple

No need to file everything at once. First deposit the documents you look for most often, the organization will fill out naturally over time.

Create a custom folder

If the provided folders are not enough, create your own: a folder per project, per child, per property, however suits you. You can move a document from one folder to another at any time.

  1. Open the vault

Go to the documents area of the app.

  2. Create a folder

Give it a clear name, tied to a project or an area.

  3. Deposit your documents

Import or scan the items to file in it.

  4. Reorganize freely

Move a document to another folder whenever you want.

The validity badges

Some documents have a lifespan: an ID document, a certificate, a contract. Noryo shows a badge to tell you where each document stands and spare you unpleasant surprises at the worst moment.

What do the badges mean?

Verified
The document is valid. Nothing to do.
Expiring soon
The deadline is approaching. This is the time to plan a renewal.
Expired
The document is no longer valid. Remember to replace it with an up-to-date version.
Plan renewals ahead

The Expiring soon badge gives you time to act before the deadline. Remember to turn on reminders so you do not rely only on a glance at the vault.

Find a document

No need to remember the exact folder. Noryo recognizes the content of your documents, which lets you search by keyword, by type, or by folder. Search works even if you have forgotten where you filed it.

  • Search for a word present in the document (a name, a number)
  • Filter by folder or by document type
  • Spot at a glance the documents to renew thanks to the badges

⌘ + KOn the web, open the command palette to search for a document without leaving your page.

Filing best practices

A few simple habits keep your vault clear over time: one folder per major area of life, a clear document name, and a little tidying now and then to archive what is no longer current.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move a document after filing it?

Yes, at any time. A document can go from one folder to another without being re-imported.

How do I rename a folder?

Open the folder, change its name: the documents it contains stay in place.

Does search work within the content of files?

Yes. Noryo recognizes the content so you can search for a word present in a document, not just its title.
