Manage your storage space

Understand your vault space, track what you have left, declutter, and learn how to get more room depending on your plan.

Updated 19 June 2026

Your vault has storage space whose size depends on your plan. Good news: properly scanned documents take up little room, and most users never come close to the limit. Here is how to track your space, keep it light, and expand it if needed.

How much space do I have?

The available space increases with your plan. The free plan gives you enough to keep your essential documents, and higher plans clearly expand this space to calmly archive years of papers.

The exact space is shown on the Subscription screen of the app.

The precise amount associated with each plan is shown on the Subscription screen of the app, which remains the up-to-date reference.

Track the space used

From your vault, you can see the room already taken and the room you have left. Take a look from time to time, especially if you scan many documents at once, for example at tax-return time.

Free up room

If your vault is filling up, a few simple steps free up space without losing anything important.

  1. Spot duplicates

The same document scanned twice, or imported then resent by email, can take up room needlessly.

  2. Delete the obsolete

An invoice for a device you sold, or a contract canceled long ago, may no longer belong here.

  3. Export before removing

If you are unsure, export the document to keep a copy at home, then remove it from the vault.

  4. Favor sharp files

A well-framed, legible scan is more than enough and stays light.

One file, one document

Rather than one large PDF gathering everything, keep one file per document. Filing is clearer and you can remove what is no longer needed without touching the rest.

The size limit per file

Each file you add must not exceed a certain size. This limit very generously covers an everyday document: a photo of a paper or a PDF of a few pages goes through without difficulty. If an import is refused due to size, lower the photo resolution or split an oversized PDF into several documents.

Frequently asked questions about space

My vault is full, what happens?

You will no longer be able to add new documents until you free up room or change plans. Your existing documents remain accessible.

Does upgrading my plan free up room immediately?

Yes. As soon as your new plan is active, your space expands and you can add documents again.

What if I downgrade my plan?

Your documents are not deleted, but you will not be able to add more beyond the new limit until you free up room.

Need more space

If archiving documents matters to you, a higher plan clearly increases the available space. The details of the plans and their associated space are on the Subscription screen of the app.

A well-organized vault stays lighter and clearer.
