Frequently asked questions: documents and formats
Quick answers on accepted formats, sharing, search, and the security of your documents.
Here are the answers to the most common questions about your documents and the vault. For detailed instructions, refer to the dedicated guides.
Which formats can I add?
You can add images in JPG, PNG, and HEIC formats, as well as documents in PDF format. A size limit applies per file.
How do I add a document?
- By import from your device, on the web as well as on mobile
- By scan with the camera, on iPhone and iPad
- By email, by forwarding the document to your personal deposit address
Are my documents secure?
Yes. Your documents are encrypted and stored on infrastructure hosted in Europe. They are never sold, and nothing is shared without your action.
How do I share a document?
Sharing is read-only: the person can view the document but cannot modify or delete it. You remain the owner and can reverse the action.
Why does the search find a word in a file?
Because Noryo recognizes the content of your documents. You can thus search for a word inside a document (a name, a number), not just in its title.
What do the validity badges mean?
Verified means up to date, Expires soon indicates the deadline is approaching, Expired means the document is no longer valid and should be replaced.
