Nory through the fiscal seasons

How the Nory assistant supports you at the key moments of the year: setting up budgets, preparing your tax return, year-end review.

Updated 19 June 2026

Your finances don't feel the same in January, in the spring tax-return season, or at year-end. The Nory assistant adapts to these moments and helps you see clearly, season after season. This article shows how to use it at the right time, without ever forgetting what it is: an assistant that sheds light, not an advisor that decides for you.

Two ways to use Nory

Conversations answer your open-ended questions, and Insights present ready-to-read analyses. Depending on the season, one or the other will be more practical.

Start of the year: setting the scene

At the start of the year, Nory helps you get off to a good start. You can ask it for a review of your recurring expenses, spot duplicate subscriptions or ones whose price has gone up, and consider budgets for the categories that got out of hand last year. Nory can offer to create a budget or a goal: the proposal is always submitted to you for confirmation.

  • Ask for a summary of active subscriptions and how they have changed.
  • Spot duplicates paid across several banks.
  • Sketch out budgets for the heaviest categories.

Tax-return season: gathering the pieces

When it's time to prepare your tax return, Nory helps you find and group the information: summaries of income and expenses over a period, searching for a specific category, spotting useful documents in your vault. The annual Tax pack, available with the Ultra plan, rounds out this preparation by compiling a summary of the year.

A help, not an official document

The Tax pack and Nory's summaries make your preparation easier, but they do not replace your official documents or the advice of a professional. Always check against the reference sources.

During the year: staying on course

For the rest of the year, Nory is useful day to day: analyzing a rise in spending, understanding why one month stands out, tracking your savings goals, or recategorizing transactions. It's also a chance to check your Noryo Score and ask Nory how to improve it, dimension by dimension.

  1. January

Tidy up subscriptions and set the year's budgets.

  2. Spring

Gather income, expenses, and documents for the tax return.

  3. Month after month

Track budgets, goals, and the Noryo Score.

  4. Year-end

Ask for a review and prepare for the year ahead.

Year-end: taking stock

At year-end, ask Nory for a review of your big trends: where the money went, which goals moved forward, which habits are costly. On iPhone, the annual recap "Noryo Wrapped" extends this reading in a visual way. It's the right moment to adjust your budgets and set new goals.

A small glossary of the seasons

Insight
A ready-to-read analysis that Nory prepares for you, with no question to ask.
Tax pack
An annual summary to help with your tax return, included in the Ultra plan, which does not replace official documents.
Noryo Score
A financial-health score out of one hundred, recalculated every day, useful for tracking your progress over time.
Set the volume just right

During busy periods, you'll call on Nory more often. Usage is generous and the volume depends on your plan; the details appear on the Subscription screen.

What Nory will never do

Whatever the season, Nory never accesses banking operations and cannot make any transfer or payment. It does not replace an advisor: it helps you understand your situation and act with full awareness, but the important decisions remain yours.
