Preparing your taxes with the Tax Pack
How the annual Tax Pack helps you prepare your tax return and better track your saving effort, for example on a retirement savings plan.
Preparing your tax return well mostly comes down to having your figures clear. Noryo's annual Tax Pack brings together a summary of your income and spending over the year, to save you time. This article explains what it is for and how to use it, including how to track a saving effort like a retirement savings plan.
Ultra featureOperational
The Tax Pack is included in the Ultra plan. The plan details are on the Subscription screen in the app.
The Tax Pack helps you prepare your tax return by bringing your figures together. It does not replace your official documents or personalised advice. Always refer to the supporting documents issued by the bodies concerned.
What the Tax Pack contains
The Tax Pack is an annual summary. It brings together an overview of what came in and went out of your connected accounts over the year, organised to make it easier to carry your figures across when filing your return.
- Income summary
- A view of the money in identified over the year, useful to check your amounts.
- Spending summary
- Your outgoings classified by category, to spot what may count in your tax return.
- Savings tracking
- The effort you have set aside, for example on a retirement savings product, so you can find it easily.
Tracking a retirement savings plan
A retirement savings plan (PER, the French retirement savings plan) is a common example of a saving effort you can track in Noryo. By classifying the contributions to this type of product in a dedicated category, you can see at a glance the total paid over the year in your Tax Pack.
Spot the contributions
In your transactions, identify the contributions to your retirement savings product.
Categorise
Classify them in a clear category, and create a rule to automate the following contributions.
Check the Tax Pack
At the end of the year, find the total in your annual summary.
Verify
Compare with the official supporting documents from the body before filing anything.
If your contributions go to the same body every month, create a rule so they are classified automatically. Your annual tracking then builds itself.
When to check it
- As the filing period approaches, to gather your figures.
- Regularly through the year, to track where you stand with your saving effort.
- Before setting a new goal, to start from a realistic basis.
Important to remember
The Tax Pack reflects what Noryo sees of your connected accounts. The amounts serve as a starting point: they are estimates and groupings, not an official tax calculation. For any decision related to your taxes, rely on the official documents and, if needed, on a professional.
