How to tell whether the issue is on your side, with your bank or a passing slowdown, and how to distinguish them in a few minutes.

Updated 19 June 2026

When something is not working, the first useful question is: where does the issue come from? Three possible sources: your device or your connection, your bank's service, or a passing slowdown on the Noryo side. Knowing how to tell them apart saves you from acting needlessly and tells you whether to do something or simply wait a few minutes.

The right question first

Does the issue affect a single bank or the whole app? The answer immediately points to the right cause.

Three possible sources

Where an issue can come from

Your device or your connection
Unstable network, app not up to date, or simply needing a quick restart of the app.
Your bank's service
The bank sometimes puts its systems under maintenance or becomes momentarily unreachable. Data freshness also depends on each bank.
A passing slowdown on Noryo
During activity peaks, some operations may take a little longer than usual.

Test your side first

This is the quickest to check and the most frequent cause. Above all, make sure everything is fine on your side.

  • Check that you have a stable internet connection (try opening another app or a web page).
  • Fully close Noryo, then reopen it.
  • Install the app's pending updates.
  • On iPhone, check that low power mode or a restricted network is not blocking background updates.

Spotting an issue on the bank side

If a single bank no longer updates while the others work, the issue very likely comes from that bank or the authorisation granted. The first thing to try is reconnection, which renews the consent that has reached its end date. Also keep in mind that data freshness varies from one bank to another: some update more often than others.

Read-only, always

Whatever happens, Noryo accesses your accounts in read-only mode. No payment or transfer is possible from the app, even during an incident.

Recognising a passing slowdown

If everything seems normal on your side and several banks are affected at the same time, it may be a temporary slowdown. In that case, the best thing to do is often to wait a few minutes then start a manual synchronisation again. The situation usually sorts itself out.

  1. Observe the scope

One bank or the whole app?

  2. Test your side

    Connection, restart, update.

  3. Reconnect if needed

For a bank that is stuck, renew the consent.

  4. Wait then try again

For a general slowdown, retry after a few minutes.

When to contact support

If the issue persists beyond a few hours, affects the whole app and nothing changes anything, write to us. State what you are seeing, since when, the device used, and if possible attach a screenshot. Your support ID, visible in your profile, speeds up the handling.
